Annual Street Fayre

Spring Bank Holiday Monday, 4th June 2012

Chippenham Street Fayre

Since the late 1990's, the Rotary Club of Chippenham Wiltshire Vale have, on behalf of the Chippenham Folk Festival, organised and managed the annual Street Fayre on the High Street, Chippenham. The event is held on the spring bank holiday at the end of May, which is also the final day of the annual three day Folk Festival. Over the years, the event has proved enormously successful with trader's pitches lining the High Street and spilling into the Market Place (see Google location map). The area positively heaves with customers from early morning to late afternoon, with displays of Morris and Folk dancing in the street adding to the festive atmosphere. Morris Dancers

Impromptu displays of Morris Dancing add colour and spectacle to the day.
