The Rotary Club of Chippenham Wiltshire Vale is part of Rotary International's District 1200. District 1200 covers Somerset and parts of West Wiltshire and West Dorset.

Rotary International is the world's largest service organisation for business and professional people, with some 1.2 million members in approaching 200 countries world-wide.

Great Britain and Ireland has over 56,000 Rotarians in 1838 Clubs, helping those in need and working towards world understanding and peace. 'Service above Self' is the organisation's motto.

Events and activities of the Club include organising the Chippenham Street Fayre on the Spring Bank Holiday Monday in late May/early June in conjunction with the Chippenham Folk Festival, promoting Dragon Boat Racing on the beautiful River Avon in Chippenham in July, actively supporting education projects in Kerala, India and Rotary International's Shelterbox campaign, and more.
